Welcome to the Pitney Bowes Family

The new mailstation 2™ digital postage meter is the first to interface with your personal computer so you can easily download postage, check your balance, order supplies, update postal rates, or get customer support.

Before updating your mailstation2™ digital postage meter with the latest version of PC Meter Connect™ software you must follow the below 8 steps. If you Do Not have mailstation assistant™ or an older version of PC Meter Connect™ skip to Get Ready to Install PC Meter Connect™:

1. In the lower-right of your screen, find the mailstation assistant™ or PC Meter Connect™ icon and right-click on it to display the pop-up menu.
2. Select "Internet Settings".
3. Write down the HTTP Transfer Encoding Method and the FTP Mode selections (you may need these during the software update process).
4. Close the Internet settings box by clicking "OK"
5. Right click again on the mailstation assistant or PC Meter Connect icon and select "Exit"
6. Click Yes at the box "Are you sure you want to exit mailstation assistant"
7. Disconnect one end of the cable connecting your meter to the computer AND unplug the meter’s power cord from the back of the meter.
8. Uninstall the current version of mailstation assistant™ or PC Meter Connect™
            -To uninstall mailstation assistant™ - go to Control Panel, select Add or
             Remove Programs, find mailstation assistant™, select Remove
            -To uninstall PC Meter Connect™ - from Start, select Programs/Pitney
             Bowes/PC Meter Connect/Uninstall PC Meter Connect

Click here and select "Run" to start the installation of PC Meter Connect™ setup software. You will have to select "Run" a second time and then when prompted click "OK" for English Language Setup. Continue with the installation process by following the prompts on the screen.

If "Internet Not Connected" or "Unable to Connect to Pitney Bowes Systems" message box appears:
1. Click on Internet Settings...
2. Change the settings to match what you had written down from step 3 and click OK.

If your application successfully installs without the above reference message then you are all set.

If you don't have a PC you can also set up your meter using the analog phone line option. However, the new features of the mailstation 2™ will not be available.
